Let’s start from the beginning - with the Crikvenica Riviera! Then take a short trip to Vinodol and Novi Vinodolski so that you can verify that it's possible to do what we wrote at the beginning: in the morning, have a swim and sunbathe on a sandy beach, then take a bike ride to Lake Tribalj. After that, have lunch and try some of the žlahtina white wine of Vinodol. As you head towards the expanse of forest, you'll be delighted with the ‘Eyes of Vinodol’ vantage points. The magical combination of the karst landscape, mountains and forest of the Vinodol hinterland entranced members of the film-making industry who shot the legendary Winnetou movie here. For dinner, you can try specialities prepared from local wild plants, and other delicious and healthy dishes, far from the noise of the city, and enjoy the colours, smells and sounds of the forest.

Summer on the Crikvenica Riviera with your pet!
Your pets are more than welcome on the Crikvenica Riviera and have a dedicated beach almost in the centre of Crikvenica. The best dog beach in Croatia, Podvorska, was opened in July 2010, and every year since then it has more and more amenities on offer, from the shower intended only for pets, to dog playing areas. Entrance to the beach is free, and the rules of conduct are explained on an instruction board. The beach has won numerous prizes and has become popular with many dog owners and their pets. Today it is known all over the world. In addition to playing in the sea, your pets can freshen up in their own shower, relax under a marquee, or even have a beer in the bar. Yes, you read that correctly. Monty’s Dog Beach & Bar in Crikvenica is the first bar of its kind in Croatia and offers beer, ice cream, cake and herbal teas for your dog.

The air temperature during winter is around 9°C, and during summer around 23°C. Snowfall, fog and temperatures below 5°C are rather rare.
The average sea temperatures during summer are 23°C in June and 27°C in July and August.
The healing properties of Crikvenica’s air
It is well known that sea air is distinguished by its purity and trace minerals. On the Crikvenica Rivera, there are barely any pollen allergens or waste gases in the air.
The air is even more beneficial thanks to its high percentage of ozone, chlorine, sodium and iodine. A salinity of 4% and continuous currents from the southeast to the northwest make the sea clean and clear too.
